This paper aims to understand the relations between death, marriage and affectusfrom the epigraphicvestiges located in the region of Mediolanum, Cisalpine Gaul, in dialogue with the tragic narrative by Lucius Annaeus Seneca in Agamemnon. Through them, the paper intends to investigate the material and textual vehicles, since they are supposed to constitute different spaces of remembrance. Therefore, they indicate different formats, audiences and dates, thus providing more complex and dense interpretations about the private and public dimensions in the way the dead were remembered in the Mediterranean societies of Antiquity.
