    El artículo analiza la evolución del sistema de seguridad europeo y su evolución desde el fin de la Guerra Fría. También las consecuencias sobre él que ha tenido la crisis de Ucrania de 2014 y en la actualidad la invasión de Rusia. Este sistema se configura en torno a tres actores fundamentales: la OTAN, la UE y Rusia, siendo el primero la pieza nuclear del sistema. Al largo de estas décadas el sistema ha estado caracterizado por un desequilibrio de poder y por diferentes procesos de inclusión y exclusión en relación con Rusia.

    The paper analyzes the evolution of the European security system and its evolution since the end of the Cold War. Also, the consequences that the Ukraine crisis of 2014 and currently the invasion of Russia have had. This system has three fundamental actors: NATO, the EU and Russia, the first being the nuclear piece of the system. Since 1990, the main characteristic of the security system has been an imbalance of power and different processes of inclusion and exclusion concerning Russia.
