In this paper I will try to do discuss in which terms the pandemic has transformed two interrelated aspects of philosophical reflection: those which concern, respectively, the conception of the human being – the dimension that historically interests philosophical anthropology – and the sphere usually explored by ethics. I will do so with brief references to contemporary authors, by verifying the adequacy of their approach to the changed situations. My idea, in short, is that philosophical enquiry can present itself as an effective therapy against the spread of contagion: in a metaphorical meaning and in a proper sense. I will try to show how it is possible.
