Resumen de Límites y alcances de las nociones de lealtad, honor y traición en Nibelungenlied

Este trabajo examina de qué modo la noción de lealtad (triuwe) es atravesada en Nibelungenlied por distintas problemáticas relativas a los lazos políticos, los lazos matrimoniales y los lazos de sangre. Problemáticas tales que redundan en la imposibilidad de estipular un criterio estable para la conformación del honor (êre) y remiten a un dilema que se revela en términos éticos y morales, en tanto plantea una pregunta acerca del espacio que la sociedad debería otorgarles a los distintos vínculos y las implicaciones de priorizar uno u otro. Para ello, el análisis se centrará en tres situaciones concretas dentro de la obra: la traición de Gunther y Hagen hacia Siegfried para afianzar el poder político, el modelo cortesano de Rüdeger como paradigma de lealtad al soberano y la venganza de Kriemhild contra sus parientes en detrimento de la importancia atribuida a los lazos de sangre.

This article examines how the notion of loyalty (triuwe) in Nibelungenlied is run through different problem areas relating to political ties, marriage ties and kinship ties. Such problem areas result in the impossibility to stipulate a stable criterion for the configuration of honor (êre) and refer to a dilemma that reveals itself in ethical and moral terms, while it poses a question regarding the place that society should grant to the different ties and the implications of prioritizing one or another. The analysis focuses in three situations of the text: the act of betrayal of Gunther and Hagen to Siegfried in order to strengthen political power, the courtly model of Rüdeger as a paradigm of loyalty to the sovereign and the revenge of Kriemhild against her relatives in spite of the importance attributed to blood ties.
