Resumen de Sin retorno: formas artísticas de la experiencia turística

  Este ensayo toma como punto de partida la exposición Experiencia Universal, Arte, Vida y el Ojo del Turista [Hayward Gallery, Londres 6 octubre - 11 diciembre 2005] para explorar algunos de los efectos que ha provocado el turismo, la actual industria más grande del mundo. Este escrito se sitúa entre la forma del ensayo y la reseña.

  Permite, mediante el repaso de una experiencia artística en particular, abordar aspectos del turismo que han sido poco explorados. A pesar de que el turismo es un campo de estudio bien establecido en la sociología y la antropología, ha sido poco analizado desde los puntos de vista arquitectónico, urbano, paisajístico y artístico. El objetivo es introducir esta problemática sobre todo en un país como Costa Rica, cuyo espacio y realidad están siendo modeladas a imagen y semejanza de la voluntad de esta gran industria

  In order to explore some of the effects of tourism, nowadays the Tourist Eye, that took place at the Hayward Gallery in London, from October 6th to December 11th of last year. Through the revision of a particular artistic experience, this paper, located between the form of the essay and the review, unfolds some aspects of the practice of tourism that have not been yet explored. Although is a well established reseach field in sociology and anthropology, so far tourism has not been analysed in depth from the point of view of architecture, urbanism, landscape, and art.

  Therefore, the main purpose in this article is to introduce the question of the effects of tourism in a country like Costa Rica, whose spatial physical reality is been shaped under the resemblance of the will of this big industry
