    Los cuentos “En la diestra de Dios Padre” de Carrasquilla y “Muerte y peregrinaciones ultraterrenas del maestro Feliciano Ríos” de Arango Villegas recogen aspectos picarescos, fantásticos y de la oralidad antioqueña. Lo fantástico tiene como referente a Todorov, pues cielo e infierno son el cronotopo de los relatos como escenarios ficcionales de la acción. Para la crítica en general el pícaro es un transgresor que, con la acción corrosiva de su discurso cuestiona a la Iglesia y sus valores. El artículo aporta una mirada sobre otras maneras de comprender el legado de la picaresca, poco frecuentes en la literatura colombiana.

    The short stories AT GOD FATHER'S RIGHT HAND by Tomás Carrasquilla and MASTER FELICIANO RIOS' DEATH AND OTHERWORLDLY PILGRIMAGE by Rafael Arango Villegas, gather elements of the picaresque typical of Antioquia's oral tradition. This tradition is deeply imbued with metaphysical inclinations, and this allows us to identify as its goal, at the base of a fantasy narration, the idea, accepted by the critics, that the mischievous protagonist is a transgressor, who with his stinging actions questions the power of the Church and its values. This text offers a new look that redefines the legacy of the picaresque in Colombia.
