Perceiving that the fields of tourism and communication are linked with a certain degree of dependence of the former on the latter, this chapter reinforces the importance of media discourse as an element to sustain the orientation of tourism production. For this reason, discursive elements that permeate this type of production, especially, in institutional and official spaces on the internet are the main goal. This text is based in studies about racism from a theoretical-methodological perspective of the critical discourse analysis based on ethics and aims to recognize the abuse of power in language in order to empower those under such oppression. From this perspective, two discursive events will be analyzed in spaces of official and institutional touristic publicity in Rio Grande do Norte on the internet.
