  • Resumen
    • Leonardo da Vinci manuscripts, and their editions, challenged scholars ever since the time of their rediscovery. The entire corpus of manuscripts consists of about 4,100 folios that are divided into 22 notebooks, three albums, and several loose sheets preserved in various European and non-European libraries. These manuscripts are essentially Leonardo’s personal notebooks compiled unsys- tematically, and this makes them extremely difficult to consult and understand.

Further, many of these manuscripts have undergone radical manipulation over the years and this has increased their complexity.
