Resumen de Segregación indígena en Zonas Metropolitanas del estado de Hidalgo, México 2010-2020: Patrones de distribución espacial urbana en contextos metropolitanos

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la distribución espacial de población indígena a nivel metropolitano, identificando posibles patrones espaciales de segregación, para lo cual se utilizan el Índice de Segregación Areal (ISEA) y el Índice de Moran Local. Lo anterior se realiza primero mediante una aproximación y análisis de variables censales que miden el uso de la lengua y la pertenencia a hogares indígenas. Los principales resultados indican que sí existen espacios urbanos con población indígena segregada, aunque con distintos escenarios y características espaciales de distribución, algunos más centralizados, otros en intersticios y con dispersión en las periferias.

This paper’s goal is to analyze the spatial distribution of the indigenous population at a metropolitan level, identifying possible spatial patterns of segregation, by using the Index of Areal Segregation (ISEA) and the Local Moran Index. The first step to do this is through approximation and analysis of census variables that measure the use of language and belonging to indigenous households. The main results indicate that there are urban spaces with a segregated indigenous population, although with different scenarios and spatial distribution characteristics, some more centralized, others in interstices and with dispersion in the peripheries.
