    El objetivo de la investigación se enfoca en estudiar los efectos socioeconómicos causados por el incremento de los precios del combustible en el sector que se dedica a la compra y venta de cacao, en el Cantón Quinindé. La investigación posee un alcance descriptivo y explicativo. La población de estudio serán las empresas comercializadoras agrícolas de cacao del cantón Quinindé, la muestra es por conveniencia 10 empresas, de igual forma, la técnica de investigación será la encuesta, a través del instrumento del cuestionario con un total de 10 preguntas cerradas. Los resultados reflejaron que la totalidad de los encuestados manifiestan que han incrementado los costos de transporte en la entrega del cacao a los mayoristas por el incremento de los combustibles. Se puede concluir que los costos en maquinaria, movilización y transportación de sus productos han aumentado, mientras precios de venta de sus productos se mantienen bajos.

    The objective of the research focuses on studying the socioeconomic effects caused by the increase in fuel prices in the sector that is dedicated to the purchase and sale of cocoa, in the Quinindé Canton. The research has a descriptive and explanatory scope. The study population will be the agricultural trading companies of cocoa from the Quinindé canton, the sample is for convenience 10 companies, in the same way, the research technique will be the survey, through the questionnaire instrument with a total of 10 closed questions. The results showed that all of the respondents state that transportation costs have increased in the delivery of cocoa to wholesalers due to the increase in fuel. It can be concluded that the costs of machinery, mobilization and transportation of their products have increased, while the sale prices of their products remain low.
