  • The world maritime industry, in particular, the shipbuilding industry is living a situation in which the traditional explanation based in its cyclicity looks no longer valid enough.

    The article has tried to pick out from the near history some facts that are sustaining the present difficulty to find a way to make a firm forecast.

    Also, the final part refers to the position into the poor place of the European industry within the global shipbuilding industry
