    En este artículo se presentan parte de los resultados alcanzados por la investigación que conformó la tesis de posgrado del autor, para obtener el título de Magister en Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad de Palermo. Las tareas de investigación se enmarcaron en un proyecto de investigación titulado: Calidad de vida de niños y niñas de 12 años que viven en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Argentina, acreditado en el Programa LOMASCyT de la Universidad Nacional de Lomas de Zamora (Argentina), a su vez inscripto en el Proyecto internacional Children`s Worlds que se encuentra dedicado al estudio de las diferentes dimensiones del bienestar de niños y niñas a lo largo del planeta. Se trató de una investigación por método cuantitativo y se trabajó con una muestra de cien (100) niños y niñas de doce (12) años de edad, que vivían en las ciudades de Lomas de Zamora y Glew, ambas ubicadas en el Conurbano Bonaerense. Se trata de un estudio transversal y descriptivo; como tal, permite la recolección de datos en un solo momento y en un tiempo único para describir variables y así analizar su incidencia o interrelación. En este artículo se presentan los resultados obtenidos en virtud de uno de los objetivos específicos de la tesis: describir las características de las viviendas que niños y niñas habitan con sus familias.

    This article presents part of the results achieved by the research that formed the author's postgraduate thesis, to obtain the Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Palermo. The research tasks were framed in a research project entitled: Quality of life of 12-year-old boys and girls living in the Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, accredited in the LOMASCyT Program of the National University of Lomas de Zamora (Argentina) , in turn enrolled in the international Children`s Worlds Project that is dedicated to the study of the different dimensions of the well-being of boys and girls throughout the planet. It was an investigation by quantitative method and we worked with a sample of one hundred (100) boys and girls of twelve (12) years of age, who lived in the cities of Lomas de Zamora and Glew, both located in the Greater Buenos Aires. This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study; as such, it allows the collection of data in a single moment and in a single time to describe variables and thus analyze their incidence or interrelation. This article presents the results obtained by virtue of one of the specific objectives of the thesis: to describe the characteristics of the houses that boys and girls live in with their families.
