Resumen de Neolitização e megalitismo: arquitecturas do tempo no espaço

  The principal goal of this paper is to question the role played by funerary megaliths in the process of neolithization within the present-day Portuguese territory, to reflect on their materiality and contents, and to attempt to read the repeated signs in these sites of death. The paper presents a systematization of the principal data that exist and seeks to demonstrate which structuring elements of the Neolithic social system were already defined in the early Neolithic and which were those factors involved in the dynamic of cultural transformation.

  É objectivo principal deste texto questionar o papel desempenhados pelo megalitismo funerário no processo de neolitização do actual território português, reflectindo acerca da sua materialidade e conteúdo, procurando ler os signos repetidos nestes sítios de morte. Apresenta-se uma sistematização dos principais dados existentes procurando demonstrar quais os elementos estruturantes do sistema social neolítico que estavam já definidos no Neolítico Antigo e quais os sectores envolvidos na dinâmica da transformação cultural.
