Analizamos la trayectoria vital de Manuela Brunet Bingley, nacida en Cieza en 1868, cuando su padre Alfonso Brunet se encontraba iniciando la industrialización del esparto en esta ciudad. También aportamos noticias sobre su esposo Álvaro Calzado Arosa, familia y sobrina, Dora Quintero Calzado, que llegaría a ser su hija adoptiva y la relación de las dos con las primeras empresas de publicidad en España. Gracias a las familias Chapa Brunet, Múgica Brunet y Lapuerta Quintero hemos conseguido documentos y fotografías inéditas para ilustrar el presente trabajo.AbstractWe analyze the life trajectory of Manuela Brunet Bingley, born in Cieza in 1868, when her father Alfonso Brunet was starting the industrialization of esparto grass in this city.
