Resumen de Macau e Nagasaki para além da Ásia: o impacto do comércio marítimo português no Mar da China Oriental (1557-1640)

The goal of this research is study the global impacts of the trade route between Macau and Nagasaki established by the portuguese in the context of their overseas expansion. Starting from East Asia, the article will focus on the potentialities related to Portuguese America, which, due to certain gaps of historiographical production, remained largely isolated from the dynamics involving Asian territories that were also affected to a greater or lesser extent by the Portuguese presence. Therefore, from primary sources and selected bibliographic references, the main elements that allow analysis from a connected perspective between the local events in the East China Sea during the 16th and 17th centuries and the different circumstances that eventually contributed to the redirection of the administrative focus to America will be highlighted

O objetivo do presente trabalho centra-se nas reflexões sobre os impactos globais do estabelecimento da rota de comércio entre Macau e Nagasaki pelos portugueses no contexto de sua expansão ultramarina. Partindo do extremo Oriente, o artigo visará especialmente as potencialidades relativas à América Portuguesa, que, devido a certas lacunas na produção historiográfica, permaneceu em grande escala isolada das dinâmicas envolvendo os territórios asiáticos que também foram afetados, em maior ou menor escala, pela presença lusitana. Assim sendo, a partir de fontes primárias e das referências bibliográficas selecionadas, serão buscados alguns dos principais elementos que permitam uma análise a partir de uma perspectiva conectada entre os acontecimentos locais que se desenrolaram no Mar da China Oriental durante os séculos XVI e XVII e as diferentes circunstâncias que eventualmente contribuíram para o redirecionamento do foco administrativo à América.
