Resumen de El Ejercicio Profesional Supervisado como método de evaluación final en la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas

El artículo resume la metodología utilizada en una investigación mixta explicativa secuencial (cualitativa-cuantitativa, con preponderancia cuantitativa), sobre el tema “El Ejercicio Profesional Supervisado EPS como método de evaluación final, en la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas de la universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala”, basada en Cook & Reichardt (2005:28), se utilizó el modelo cuantitativo, donde se obtuvo una concepción global positivista hipotético deductivo y con el modelo cualitativo se postuló a una concepción global fenomenológica, inductiva estructuralista, subjetiva, orientada al proceso propio de la antropología social. En la metodología cuantitativa se utilizó el neopositivismo del Círculo de Viena y para la cualitativa basada en la teoría fundamentada de Glaser y Strauss, para realizar una combinación de datos que dieron soporte científico a la investigación efectuada. Las ventajas que ofreció el método mixto fue lograr una perspectiva amplia y profunda en el desarrollo del estudio sobre el EPS, debido a que se utilizaron variables cuantitativas y cualitativas, se adaptó esta metodología al trabajo de investigación debido a que se han realizado observaciones con procedimientos de valorización, se utilizaron frecuencias, se presentaron y analizaron datos estadísticos, se recopiló información con censos, encuestas y entrevistas por saturación, observaciones directas y algunas experiencias de vida narradas por el grupo de estudiantes, por los profesores y algunos expertos, al obtener así información que le dio profundidad y soporte al estudio.

The article summarizes the methodology used in a mixed sequential explanatory research (qualitative-quantitative, with quantitative preponderance), on the subject “The EPS Supervised Professional Exercise as a final evaluation method, in the Faculty of Economic Sciences of the University of San Carlos de Guatemala “, Based on Cook & Reichardt (2005: 28), the quantitative model was used, where a hypothetical deductive hypothetical global positivist conception was obtained and with the qualitative model it postulated itself to a global phenomenological, inductive, structuralist, subjective conception, oriented to the own process of social anthropology. On the quantitative methodology, the neopositivism of the Vienna Circle was used and for the qualitative methodology based on the theory based on Glaser and Strauss, to make a combination of data that gave scientific support to the research carried out. The advantages offered by the mixed method were to obtain a broad and deep perspective in the development of the study on the EPS, due to the fact that quantitative and qualitative variables were used, this methodology was adapted to the research work due to the fact that observations were made with procedures of valorization, frequencies were used, statistical data were presented and analyzed, information was collected with censuses, surveys and saturation interviews, direct observations and some life experiences narrated by the group of students, by the professors and some experts, thus obtaining information that gave depth and support to the study.
