  Por medio de un acercamiento a la historia intelectual, se analiza el surgimiento de la figura de los intelectuales en Francia con el caso Dreyfus, a fin de entender las posturas de Jean-Paul Sartre, pensador sobresaliente en el siglo XX y pieza clave de la filosofía desde la posguerra hasta finales de los años sesenta. A continuación, se estudian las obras La traición de los intelectuales (Julien Benda, 1927) y El opio de los intelectuales (Aron Raymond, 1955), lo que nos permite entender por qué en el siglo XXI siguen siendo vigentes dichos análisis y posturas críticas sobre las pasiones políticas de los círculos ilustrados.

  Through an approach to intellectual history, the emergence of the figure of intellectuals in France with the Dreyfus case is analyzed, in order to understand the positions of Jean-Paul Sartre, an outstanding thinker in the 20th century and a key piece of the Philosophy from the late postwar period to the 1960s. Next, the works The Treason of the Intellectuals (Julien Benda, 1927) and The Opium of the Intellectuals (Raymond Aron, 1955) are studied, which allows us to understand why these analyzes and critical positions continue to be valid in the 21st century. about the political passions of enlightened circles.
