  Entre 1785 y 1789, se entabla un litigio en el tribunal ordinario eclesiástico entre el Obispado de Plasencia y el Monasterio de Guadalupe por la prohibición de oficiar misa en el oratorio de la Casa de Santa María de Madrigalejo. Aparte de la discusión canónica entre dos instituciones eclesiásticas, también es interesante la información que nos ofrece el traslado de tres documentos generados por este litigio, acerca de la Casa de Santa María y de la capilla que existía en su interior. También nos muestra el interés del Monasterio de Guadalupe en la defensa de sus derechos y privilegios, en este caso, los que se refieren a su hacienda en Madrigalejo.

  Between 1785 and 1789, a dispute arose in the ordinary ecclesiastical court between the Bishopric of Plasencia and the Monastery of Guadalupe over the prohibition to celebrate mass in the oratory of the Casa de Santa María de Madrigalejo. Apart from the canonical discussion between two ecclesiastical institutions, the information provided by the transfer of three documents generated by this dispute, about the Casa de Santa María and the chapel that existed inside it, is also interesting.

  It also shows us the interest of the Monastery of Guadalupe in defending its rights and privileges, in this case, those referring to its estate in Madrigalejo.
