    Este artículo discute las diversas formas en que la historieta Zobako. Edición terremoto (2010) de Yayo, publicada solo semanas después del devastador terremoto y maremoto del 27 de febrero de 2010 (27F) en la zona central de Chile, propone un radical comentario visual sobre las ‘fuerzas’ neoliberales que influyeron en la catástrofe socionatural del 27F A través de sus series de movimientos horizontales, sus múltiples escalas, la utilización del splash-page o la abstracción de la imagen, Zobako documenta el malestar social de los sobrevivientes, el actuar represivo de las fuerzas de orden, la construcción de la ciudad neoliberal y la cobertura mediática histérica de los saqueos observados en las ciudades más devastadas por el evento. Por último, este artículo busca desenterrar desde los escombros del desastre algunas condiciones estructurales que han impactado a los sectores más vulnerables de la sociedad chilena desde mucho antes y después del 27F.

    This article discusses the ways in which the comic produced by Yayo, Zobako. Edición Terremoto (2010), published a few weeks after the 8.8-magnitude quake that struck central Chile on Saturday 27 February 2010 (27F), proposes a radical visual commentary on the neoliberal ‘forces’ that contributed to this socionatural catastrophe in Chile. Thanks to its series of horizontal movements, multiple scales, use of the splash-page and visual abstraction, Zobako documents the social unrest of survivors, the repressive work of the police, the building of the neoliberal city and the hysterical media coverage of looting in the most devastated cities that resulted from the event. This article aims to unearth from the rubble of this disaster some the structural conditions that have brutally impacted the most vulnerable sectors of Chilean society since long before and after the 27F earthquake.
