Resumen de Llanto compartido: negociación, hospitalidad y alteridad entre Aquiles y Príamo en la Ilíada

En este artículo examino cómo el llanto que comparten Aquiles y Príamo en el canto 24 de la Ilíada posibilita resolver el conflicto por la pugna del cuerpo de Héctor y, además, es un precedente para considerar la posibilidad de resolver el conflicto bélico entre troyanos y aqueos. En primer lugar, propongo cómo el llanto adquiere una función social en el canto, pues opera como un motivo de la negociación entre Aquiles y Príamo. Luego, planteo que el llanto en este canto de la Ilíada tiene efectos terapéuticos sobre los personajes y posibilita el reconocimiento común de sus dolores. Por último, y a partir de lo anterior, exploro cómo la hospitalidad de esta escena, posibilitada por las emociones y el dolor común, hace que ambos personajes sean capaces de verse y ser en el otro.

In this article I analyse how the weep that Achilles and Priam share in the 24th song of the Iliad enables to resolve the conflict due to the struggle of the body of Hector and, furthermore, it is a precedent to consider the possibility of solving the warlike conflict between Trojans and Acheans. First, I propose how the weeping acquires a social function in the song, as it operates like a motif for the negotiation between Achilles and Priam. Then, I suggest how the weeping has therapeutics effects over the characters and makes the common recognition of his sufferings possible. Finally, and based on the above, I explore how the hospitality in this scene, which is the consequences of the shared emotions and the recognition of common sufferings, makes both characters capable of seeing and being in one another.
