Quadrado’s role as a selector of other people’s articles is widely known. He did that in quarterly boo-klets (1839 and 1840), while in Palma, with the title Fruto de la Prensa Periódi-ca. However, its content has not been studied yet and that is what we exhaus-tively do to show the trends we find, as well as the topics and authors. It can be concluded that this task tou-ches upon the apologetic desire that he will always keeps in mind; that he choo-ses texts that are far from extremisms, both political and religious wise, and that he is close to the romantic move-ment in a Christian and moderate way.
