    El diagnóstico precoz del VIH es uno de los pilares fundamentales para la erradicación del virus. Hoy en día existen múltiples patologías y situaciones en las que se recomienda un despistaje de la infección, una de ellas, la presentación clínica de un herpes zoster en un paciente entre 18 y 65 años.

    Gracias a esta recomendación se consiguió un diagnóstico precoz de VIH en el caso del paciente que a continuación se expone y discute.

    The early diagnosis of HIV is one of the fundamental pillars for the eradication of the virus. Today there are multiple pathologies and situations in which screening for the infection is recommended, one of which is the clinical presentation of herpes zoster in a patient between 18 and 65 years of age.

    Thanks to this recommendation, an early diagnosis of HIV was achieved in the case of the patient that is presented and discussed below.
