La torsión testicular se trata de una auténtica emergencia urológica que afecta principalmente al recién nacido y al adolescente varón. Consiste en la rotación axial del cordón espermático sobre sí mismo y corresponde a la principal causa de pérdida testicular ya que de no ser atendida de forma adecuada, puede comprometer al testículo de forma irreversible.

Testicular torsion is a urological emergency that mainly affects the newborn and the adolescent boy. It consists of the axial rotation of the spermatic cord on itself. This pathology corresponds to the main cause of testicular loss since if it is not treated properly, it can irreversibly compromise the testicle.
