Resumen de Estudio histórico y artístico de la Yumbada de Cotocollao

  La presente investigación, tiene como finalidad, realizar un estudio histórico y artístico de la yumbada de Cotocollao, que tiene sus raíces en la era prehispánica y se mantiene vigente, aunque con variantes como un ritual de agradecimiento a la naturaleza por todo lo recibido, así como la búsqueda de la sanación a través de la energía que poseen los yumbos, la misma que es adquirida por las montañas y la madre tierra. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo, con la utilización de fuentes primarias como la entrevista y la observación y fuentes secundarias como textos, informes, investigaciones que permitieron tener una visión clara y real del antes y después de la Yumbada de Cotocollao y su aporte como patrimonio cultural inmaterial en el norte del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito. Es por lo que, la realización del estudio permite comprender dicha manifestación cultural que no es tan reconocida por la población, mediante la investigación histórica de la yumbada de Cotocollao, en el tiempo.

  The purpose of this research is to carry out a historical and artistic study of the Cotocollao yumbada, which has its roots in the pre-Hispanic era and remains in force, although with variations such as a ritual of gratitude to nature for everything received, as well as the search for healing through the energy that the yumbos possess, the same that is acquired by the mountains and mother earth. The research has a qualitative approach, with the use of primary sources such as interview and observation and secondary sources such as texts, reports, research that allowed a clear and real vision of the before and after the Yumbada de Cotocollao and its contribution as heritage. intangible culture in the north of the Metropolitan District of Quito. That is why, conducting the study, allows us to understand this cultural manifestation that is not so recognized by the population, through the historical investigation of the yumbada of Cotocollao, in time.
