    • Offshore wind energy constitutes a rising sector in the electric energy generation industry. This growth is encouraging the development of new technologies, such as articulated rotors, which help improve the generation process, increasing efficiency. In this article, wave effect on the generated power is analysed, expressing it with simple equations which are afterwards resolved by performing simulations for the turbine power with MATLAB. The use of articulated rotors, which allow to correct small inclination angles caused by waves, instead of traditional rigid hubs, leads to a power gain.
