Resumen de Happiness and film induced tourism. A sociological case study approcach post Covid-19

  • The development of tourism products and experiences that generate positive emotions and provoke states of well-being and happiness is a challenge from a cultural tourism perspective are seen to be rapidly revitalising after the pandemic caused by COVID-19. In this chapter we describe and analyse the European FilmSet Project in the county of Cinco Villas (Aragon, Spain). A documentary analysis is done and a deep theoretical framework is described, showing the main important aspects and dimensions of cultural tourism, specifically the one promoted by movies and all audio-visuals products. From a sociological approach, taking into account some relevant aspects of film induced tourism and its territorial social impacts such as economic growth, welfare and happiness of both the host society and tourists. We consider the high-impact filming in Aragon and point out films and locations. Film induced tourism improves local development in certain territories such as Aragon.
