Resumen de Las reacciones de los jóvenes latinoamericanos ante el juvenicidio

El artículo retoma una clásica pregunta, pero la ubica en el contexto del juvenicidio latinoamericano, en la actualidad: ¿cómo reaccionan algunos jóvenes ante lo que la sociedad está haciendo de ellos? Se parte del supuesto de que los jóvenes tienen agencia, no se comportan como meros sujetos pasivos ante los diferentes marcadores del juvenicidio. Para responder a la pregunta inicial, se analizarán entrevistas y talleres sobre violencia realizados a jóvenes de Argentina, Colombia y Costa Rica, aludiendo a tres marcadores centrales del juvenicidio: violencia institucional-policial, violencia barrial y violencia sociocultural.

The article takes up a classic question, but places it in the context of Latin American juvenicide today: how do some young people react to what society is doing to them? It is assumed that young people have agency, that they do not behave as mere passive subjects in the face of the different markers of juvenicide. To answer the initial question, interviews and workshops on violence conducted with young people in Argentina, Colombia and Costa Rica will be analyzed, alluding to three central markers of juvenicide: institutional-police violence, neighborhood violence and sociocultural violence.
