    En este escrito se narra la historia del pueblo misak, comenzando con algunos episodios relevantes del siglo xix y enfocándose en la lucha por la recuperación de las tierras y la autoridad, que tiene lugar a lo largo del siglo xx y continúa en el presente. El artículo comienza relatando la crisis en que se hallaba el pueblo misak para finales del siglo xix y comienzos del xx debido a los procesos de despojo territorial y cultural, y avanza en orden cronológico mostrando los hitos más importantes en la lucha por la recuperación de la autoridad, la autonomía y el territorio. El ámbito geográfico del relato se concentra en el territorio misak de Guambía, ubicado en el municipio de Silvia al nororiente del departamento del Cauca. Se trata de un relato testimonial que se nutre con la experiencia personal del autor, las memorias de los integrantes del pueblo misak y algunas fuentes históricas y etnográficas que respaldan esta narrativa testimonial.

    This paper narrates the history of the Misak people, it begins with some relevant episodes of the 19th century and focuses on the struggle to recover their land and authority that has taken place throughout the 20th century and continues in the present. The article begins by recounting the crisis that the Misak people were experiencing at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century due to the processes of territorial and cultural dispossession, and advances in chronological order showing the most important milestones in the struggle for the recovery of authority, autonomy and territory. The geographical context of the narrative is the Misak territory of Guambía, located in the municipality of Silvia in the northeast of the department of Cauca. This is a testimonial account that is nourished by the personal experience of the author, the memories of the members of the Misak people and some historical and ethnographic sources that support it.
