O presente artigo recolle o xurdimento da creación e difusión artística autoxestionada en Galicia, das primeiras exposicións que sacaron a arte á rúa e a contribución cultural das primeiras «galerías» de arte, das salas de exhibición de caixas de aforros e dos colectivos de artistas. Tamén, a instauración das políticas culturais galegas tras a chegada da democracia, as cales provocaron un proceso descentralizador con certas doses de autogoberno e un relato institucional de modernidade plástica.
This article covers the appearance of self-managed artistic creation and dissemination in Galicia, the first exhibitions that took art to the streets and the cultural contribution of the first «galleries» of art, the exhibition halls of savings banks and groups of artists. Also, the establishment of Galician cultural policies after the advent of democracy, which generated a decentralizing process with certain doses of self-government and an institutional account of plastic modernity.
