Resumen de Human Resource Management in Greek Secondary Education

  • Human Resource Management is that part of the science of Management that dealswith the human factor at work and the interaction relationships it has with each organization. It is the forecasting, recruiting, selection, adaptation, development and utilization of the human resources of a service, a company, an organization. The demandsof today’s society for improvement in the education provided make it imperative to record and examine the effectiveness and quality of educational services and educational organizations and units, not only nationally but also internationally in the context ofthe “internationalization” of education. The aim of this article is to highlight the basicfunctions of Human Resource Management and the parameters that must be taken intoaccount for a holistic approach to the management of human resources in secondaryeducation in Greece. The needs of society for education push in the search for the bestway of utilizing the modern methods of managing the human factor at work and therelevant logistical infrastructure.
