  • Resumen
    • Sixty-eight samples collected from the continental shelves of Argentina, Uruguay and southern Brazil, between Lat. 52° 16'S and 24° 0.2'S and over a depth range of 0.5 to 200 m were examined for Ostracoda. The samples were collected during a number of cruises by various vessels of the hydrographic service of the Argentinian Navy. A total of 78 species of podocopid and platycopid ostracods were encountered. Of these, 11 species are new, 12 are left in open nomenclature due to their paucity and 55 have been previously described. The new species are Argilloecia parameridonalis, Neocytherideis impudicus, N. ruidis, Cushmanidea variopunctata, Hemicythere skogsbergi, Urocythereis dimorphica, Callistocythere rioplatensis, Quadracythere amplioreticulata, Henryhowella macrocicatricosa, Xestoleberis umbonata and Cytherella hemargentina.
