Entre junio y setiembre de 2016 se realizaron 111 encuestas a pobladores del Cerro Tobati, en el marco del Proyecto CONACYT 14-INV-205. Se utilizó el método “bola de nieve” y planilla de encuestas semies-tructurada con el objetivo de indagar si el fruto del C. lanosus es conocido y consumido por los pobladores locales de las inmediaciones del recurso. Los pobladores en su mayoría (94,6 %) conocen al C. lanosus; la mitad de ellos (58,6 %) probó el fruto alguna vez y algunos opinaron sobre el sabor del fruto; la mayoría (68,4 %) mencionó que la colecta se realiza con la mano. Se presenta por primera vez información sobre el consumo y sabor de frutos de C. lanosus

Between June and September 2016, 111 surveys were carried out on residents of Cerro Tobati, within the framework of the CONA-CYT Project 14-INV-205. The “snowball” method and semi-structured survey form were used to investigate whether the fruit of C. lanosus is knowed and consumed by local people in the vicinity of the resource. The majority of the inhabitants (94.6%) know C. lanosus; half of them (58.6%) tasted the fruit sometime and some opined about the taste of the fruit; the majority (68.4%) mentioned that the collection is done by hand. The consumption of fruits and the taste of C. lanosus are reported for the first time
