In the last third of the twentieth century the carpentry made in the whole of the Spanish territory was scarcely studied which made it assume its origin as Mudéjar. A thorough investigation of this peculiar art proves that its origin was based on visigothic techniques and that living with a new Islamic client could influence its creation. However, it was always more rooted in the christian world than with the Islamic one, to the point that it prospered along with the development of gothic art and was finally consolidated with the Trastámara dynasty.
