El movimiento de secularización y la apropiación de la idea de razón por un cierto modo específico y sectorial de ejercer la razón, entre muchos otros elementos, han configurado un nuevo panorama en el que hay ciertas cuestiones que parece que carecen de legitimidad epistémica o que, simplemente, si lle-gan a plantearse lo harán probablemente de manera errónea. En este texto se presenta la religión como una realidad que se sus-trae a las reducciones y eliminaciones que opera el paradigma epistémico dominante, con ayuda de diversos literatos que, ade-más de los filósofos, han pensado la cuestión y la han plasmado en sus novelas, y se defiende el componente racional, cognitivo y de verdad presente en las afirmaciones religiosas.

The secularization movement and the appropri-ation of the idea of reason by a certain specific and sectorial way of exercising reason, among many other elements, have configured a new panorama in which there are certain questions that seem to lack epistemic legitimacy or that, if they are even raised, they will probably be raised in the wrong way. In this text, religion is presented as a reality that is subtracted from the reductions and eliminations operated by the dominant epis-temic paradigm, with the help of various literary figures who, in addition to philosophers, have thought about the question and have expressed it in their novels. As a conclusion, the rational, cognitive and truth component present in religious affirmations is supported.
