    Este estudio tiene por objetivo analizar la representación de la cultura mapuche en dos obras de literatura infantil y juvenil chilena, para determinar qué estrategias y posicionamientos se toman en la traducción cultural del mundo mapuche para las y los niños chilenos. Al respecto, proponemos que el análisis de estas obras demostrará que en las últimas cuatro décadas la literatura infantil y juvenil chilena ha transitado desde un posicionamiento discursivo y textual que evidencia su ajenidad y lejanía con las claves culturales del mundo mapuche, hacia un posicionamiento dialogante e intercultural, mediante un discurso basado en la cercanía y en el conocimiento de la situación histórica del pueblo mapuche. Comprender las formas de traducción cultural que surgen en los textos pensados para la niñez y juventud, es fundamental para propender un diálogo intercultural desde la literatura y la educación.

    The aim of this study is to analyse the representation of Mapuche culture in two books of Chilean literature for children and young people, in order to determine what kind strategies and positions are taken in the cultural translation of the Mapuche world for Chilean children. In this respect, we propose that the analysis of this book will demonstrate that over the last four decades, Chilean literature for children and young people has moved from a discursive and textual positioning that evidences its alienation and distance from the cultural keys of the Mapuche world, towards a dialogic and intercultural positioning, through a discourse based on proximity and knowledge of the historical situation of the Mapuche people. Understanding the forms of cultural translation that emerge in texts designed for children and youth is fundamental to promote intercultural dialogue through literature and education.
