The study of global climate evolution requires high-resolution data from well-dated deep-sea cores. This study presents such high-resolution percentage radiolarian data for 1.75-2Ma, latest Pliocene and earliest Pleistocene (Olduvai subchron time-slab), from Ocean Drilling Program (ODP) Leg 138 Sites 847, 850 and 851 from the eastern equatorial Pacific. The data forms the basis of ongoing research into the palaeoceanographical history of the eastern equatorial Pacific, but may be integrated into any palaeoclimatic database. The radiolarian counting groups employed are here defined and illustrated. One new species, Eucyrtidium tricameratium sp. nov. is described.
