El nuevo comienzo del pícaro: ¿triunfo o penitencia?

    Tras una vida llena de amargos desencuentros y fracasos, el pícaro emprende un último intento en pos de alcanzar la estabilidad social que durante toda su existencia le ha sido negada. Es entonces cuando nos hacemos la siguiente pregunta: ¿enmarcan los autores alguna intención en estos finales? He aquí la cuestión que genera este breve estudio. Resulta claro conocer de qué modo acaban los tres pícaros pioneros de la literatura hispánica —que serán aquellas obras con las que vamos a trabajar: El Lazarillo de Tormes, El Buscón y El Guzmán de Alfarache—; simplemente con leer sus finales obtenemos la respuesta, pero la hipótesis de la que parte este artículo va más allá ya que, según qué teorías, se conciben estos finales o nuevos comienzos como ejemplarizantes o, simplemente, entretenimiento. Por tanto, la pretensión del artículo consiste en la de examinar el carácter didáctico o de recreo de este tipo de literatura y aclarar, si fuera posible, la función de la misma.

    After a life full of bitter disagreements and failures, the rogue undertakes a final attempt to achieve s stability that throughout his existence has been denied. That is when we ask ourselves the following question: do the authors frame any intention in these endings? Here is the question generated by this brief study. It is important to know how three rogue pioneers of Hispanic literature end up —that they will have many works with which we are going to work El Lazarillo de Tormes, El Buscón and El Guzmán de Alfarache—; simply by reading their endings we get the answer, but the hypothesis of this article goes further, examining the endings and beginnings as specific examples or just entertainment. That is why the claim of the article lies in the exploration of the didactic character or the recreation of this type of literature and, if applicable, its function.
