El ensayo aborda diversos problemas de la dialéctica marxista, en seguimiento del libro Filosofía y dialéctica, de Alberto Parisí. La elevación de lo abstracto a lo concreto en el conocimiento, las diversas concepciones de lo dialéctico, la negatividad en lo real/social objetivo y en la subjetividad, lo ideológico en el proyecto popular, la iniciativa intencional y lo concretado en las clases sociales. En la segunda parte, escrita cuatro décadas después de la primera, se profundiza el análisis de la relación entre individuo y totalidad social, criticándose la posibilidad de totalización política. En esa tesitura, se discute la metafísica presente en la noción de “exterioridad”, que se ha tomado de la obra de Levinas y que apunta al problema sin hacer una lectura materialista de su despliegue y ejercicio.

Various problems of Marxist dialectics are discussed, following on from the book Filosofía y dialéctica, by Alberto Parisí. The elevation of the abstract to the concrete in knowledge, the various conceptions of the dialectic, negativity in the objective real/social and in subjectivity, the ideological in the popular project, the intentional initiative and the concrete in social classes. In the second part, written four decades after the first one, the analysis of the relationship between the individual and the social totality is deepened, criticising the possibility of political totalisation. In this context, it discusses the metaphysics present in the notion of "exteriority", which has been taken from Levinas’ work and which points to the problem without making a materialist reading of its deployment and exercise.
