El título de este artículo es una pregunta que yo suelo hacer con frecuencia a mi madre. La paciente de nuestro artículo, en la actualidad, tiene Alzheimer avanzado. Es todo un enigma, pues fue diagnosticada de Alzheimer en el año 2008, con un pronóstico de vida de cuatro años. Hemos superado toda expectativa. Mi madre tiene ausencias bastantes largas que pueden durar días. Y cuando despierta puede saber perfectamente quién eres…o no.
Lo cierto es que ha habido temporadas, que no caminaba, y luego vuelve a caminar con ayuda, claro, pues su centro de gravedad está totalmente modificado, por la posición de su columna. Ella ha sido tratada durante más de sesenta años con tratamientos depresivos, entre otros, valium 50. Probablemente tuviera depresión endógena. Lo cierto es que como ya no recuerda, tampoco tiene depresión actualmente, ni tratamiento para ello.
Siempre he tenido la duda de qué hubiera pasado si mi madre no hubiera tomado tanta medicación. El Alzheimer ¿es una enfermedad que estaba destinada en su código genético, o es consecuencia de tanta medicación? Lo cierto es que ya no va a cambiar el resultado, sirva más bien como reflexión del uso del medicamento con precaución. Una vez aquí, lo que quiero es poder ayudar con el trato a pacientes con Alzheimer, en un pequeño homenaje a mi madre, si me lo permitís.

The title of this article is a question that I often ask my mother. The patient in our article currently has advanced Alzheimer’s. She has been treated for more than sixty years with depressive treatments, among others Valium 50. She probably had endogenous depression. The truth is not that since he no longer remembers, he currently has depression, nor treatment for it.
I have always had the question of what would have happened if my mother had not taken so much medication. Alzheimer’s, is it a disease that was destined in its genetic code, or is it a consequence of so much medication? The truth is that it will no longer change the result, rather serve as a reflection of the use of the drug with caution. Once here, what I want is to be able to help with the treatment of Alzheimer’s patients, in a small tribute to my mother, if you allow me.
