La rehabilitación es el cuidado que recibe el paciente para mantener, recuperar o mejorar la lesión que tiene. Estas lesiones pueden ser físicas, mentales o cognitivas. La rehabilitación puede mejorar la vida diaria y su funcionamiento.
La rehabilitación es un proceso continuo y global, se caracteriza por hallarse por un tiempo limitado y con objetivos muy definidos.
Cualquier persona puede necesitar la rehabilitación en algún momento en su vida, como consecuencia de una lesión, intervención quirúrgica o enfermedad.
Que puede reducir bastante los efectos de multitud de problemas, aunque no se puedan curar el 100% y no es un lujo ni un servicio de salud disponible solo para quienes puedan permitírselo.
Es fundamental el mantenimiento del paciente para evitar hospitalizaciones o ingresos innecesarios.
