• Marine Ostracoda of early Cretaceous Neocomian, Barremian, Aptian, and Albian age in wells in Florida and of Barremian or Aptian age at a locality in northeastern Spain are represented by 63 species including seven new species and one new subspecies, 26 previously described species, and 29 species having affinitive status or left in ipen nomenclature. The new species and subspecies are: Paracypris weatherfordoides, n. sp., Pontocyprella tampaensis, n- sp., Dolocytheridea browni, n. sp-, Schuleridea dunedinensis, n. sp., S. largoensis, n. sp., S. bradentonensis, n. sp., Eocytheropteron gulfportensis, n. sp. E. trinitiensis mediolaeva, n. subsp., and Rehacythereis? pinellas, n.sp.

  In wells in west-central Florida, ostracode faunas representing early Coahuilan (Neicimian), late Coahuila (Barremian), and early Trinitian (Aptian) age can be recognized. Late Trinitian and Fredericksburgian ostracodes are less definitive, but Wahitan ostracodes (late Albian and Cenomanian), described previously (Swain, 1982) are useful stratigraphic markers.
