The Spanish Democratic Comittee, organized around the figure of Nicolas del Baiza, promoted two demonstrations on March 26th and April Il th, in Paris, rallying Spanish and Portuguese supporters of the ideas of the February revolution. They asked for the setting up of an Iberian Federation.
Once again France was showing the path to follow, but neither the spanish democrats nor the others from other countries obtained the desired support from the French govemement. Lamartine showed no intention of intervention and rejected any idea of using war as a mean to provide the oppressed people back with their lost fredom.

Organize autour de la personnalité de Nicolás del Blazo, le Comité Démocratique espagnol, a promu le 26 Mars et de II Avril à Paris, deux manifestations en appui des príncipes de la Revolution de Février et pour revindiquer la constitution d'une Fédération Ibérique, La France indiquait à nouveau Ie chemin à parcourir, même si les démocrates espagnols, comme ceux d'autres pays, nont pas obtenu l'appui désiré. Lamartine affirma Ie príncipe de la non intervention et rechassa Ie recours à la guerre comme moyen de rendre la Liberté aux peuples opprimés,
