Contrarrevolución y rebeldía campesina en el Norte de España durante la revolución burguesa

    The most usual interpretations about «carlism» tend to identify «carlism» with the absolutist counterrevolution, that is to say, the opposition against the changes imposed by the Spanish liberals after the death of Fernando VII in 1833. This article pretends to revise those traditional interpretations. Besides, our intention is to open up to historic analysis new visions of carlism, superposing both the proper carlist counterrevolution, which acted in an ideological and institutional order, to the movement of «peasant rebellion». From the conflictual point of view of the country communities this article analyses counterrevolution. As for geographic reference we hold to the north of Spain, especifically Galicia, Asturias and Cantabria, which are the areas darkened in this case by the Vasco-Navarre carlismo

    Les interprétations les plus usuelles sur le «carlisme» tendent à l'identifier avec la contre-révolution absolutiste, c'est-à-dire, avec la résistance aux changements que les libraux espagnols imposaient apres la mort de «Fernando VII» en 1833. Dans cet article ce que I' on prétend c' est de revoir certaines interprétations traditionnelles. On essaie, d'autre part, d'apporter de nouvelles visions sur Ie carlisme pour l'analyse historique, en superposant la contre-révolution proprement carliste, qui s'intégrait dans un ordre idéologique et institutionnel, avec le mouvement de «révolte paysanne».

    On analyse dans cet article la contre-révolution à partir d'une perspective conflictuelle des communautés rurales. Le nord de l'Espagne est pris com me référence géographique, concrétement. La Galice, Les Asturies et La Cantabrie, qui sont les régions assombries en ce cas par Ie carlisme basco-navarre.
