La imagen de Circe en la poesía española contemporánea

    El mito de Circe pervive en la poesía española contemporánea de los últimos cincuenta años. En el presente artículo se recoge un conjunto representativo de poemas de autores diferentes y estilos heterogéneos que reescriben el mito desde un punto de vista personal y subjetivo. En este periodo de tiempo es posible afirmar que existen tres funciones del mito que aglutinan la diversidad de autores: de contraste, de experimentación poética y, finalmente, de subversión y reivindicación. Con ello se prueba cómo Circe se aleja de la imagen tradicional para aproximarse lentamente a la representación de la identidad de una mujer actual.

    The myth of Circe survives in contemporary Spanish poetry in the last fifty years. The present paper gathers a representative set of poems from different authors with heterogeneous styles that rewrite the myth from their subjective and personal point of view. In this period of time, it is possible to affirm that three functions of the myth agglutinate the diversity of authors: contrast, poetic experimentation and, finally, subversive and claiming functions. It is proved how Circe moves away from the traditional image to slowly approach to a current woman identity.
