    • Once a very debated subject, time is no longer so much at heart of the subject of international law as is the redefinition of its space, such that the very terms of the debate have shifted in the period of a few years. Human rights, in particular, have affected all possible fields, even beyond their formal instruments, and the question of freedoms is generally raised in urgency and in the context of horizontal conflicts, with different freedoms competing against each other, and the freedoms of one against the freedoms of another. It thus seems that the territory of international law today is, as in a mirror, for each and everyone of us, a recovered humanity
