  • Undeniably the European construction is now, and has been for several years, in a crisis, and that for many reasons, such as economic crisis, unemployment, the huge increase of migrants, or the loss of European faith. But that crisis imperfectly hides a true crisis of Democracy itself in Europe. Democracy, although it cannot be dissociated from the rule of law, human rights and peace, is currently criticized and even contested. Those two series of problems are feeding each other. Therefore, it won’t be possible to overcome them but by fighting parallelly in favour of a new construction of Europe, and simultaneously in favour of a reshaping of Democracy
