    En la estructura de las religiones afrocubanas, la regla de ifá afrocubana desde el orden masculino de lo simbólico, lo binario, organiza los significantes en la vida social diferenciada de los hombres y mujeres que la practican o han celebrado algún rito liminal. Ifá afrocubano produce identidades y/o regula relaciones sociorreligiosas; en él se inician solo hombres heterosexuales; la mujer en ifá afrocubano ocupa una posición subalterna y es controlada por su corporalidad; mientras los homosexuales varones no deben iniciarse como sacerdotes porque constituiría tabú.

    In the structure of afrocubans religions, the ifá rule from the masculine order of the symbolic, the binary, organizes the signifiers in the differentiated social life of the men and women who practice it or have celebrated some liminal rite. Ifáproduces identities and/or regulates socio-religious relationships; initiates only straight men; the woman in ifáoccupies a subordinate position and controlled by her corporality; while male homosexuals should not be initiated as priests because it would be taboo.
