Resumen de Additional Dinocysts and acritarchs from the Middle Member (Lower Kimmeridgian-Tithonian) of the Jhuran Formation, Kachchh, India
An additional eight species belonging to eight genera of dinocysts and six species belonging to three genera of acritarchs are reported from the Middle Member (Lower Kimmeridgian-Tithonian) of the Jhuran Formation of Kachchh, India. Four new species of dinocysts are proposed, they are Egmontodinium minor, Mendicodinium quadratum, Pareodinia angulata and Sentusidinium fibrosum. A new dinocyst Forma-A is also reported.
This new list of dinocyts supports the earlier conclusion of Kumar (1986) that this assemblage is distinctive and shows a certain degree of provincialism.
