THE UNITED NATIONS SPECIAL RAPPORTEUR ON THE RIGHT TO FOOD This paper is focused on the activity of the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Right to Food, independent expert appointed by the UN Human Rights Council.
Once having illustrated the legal basis and the content of his mandate, the study continues with the examination of his working methods. In this latter context, special attention has been paid to the monitoring function and in particular to the practice of the country visits.
