Resumen de As vozes do Império em Casa velha, de Machado de Assis

The present work proposes a study of the novel Casa Velha, from the possible articulation between History and Literature. To this end, we will discuss the elements of the fictionalization process of historical reality, which is done through representative voices of the Brazilian 19th century Empire. Thus, we aim to analyze the authorial appropriation of these voices, of the dialectical game between them within the work in the face of historical exteriority, of the imperial elite's policy of/inside Casa Velha. We argue that this literary work takes place in a staging prepared by Machado de Assis, between what is called real and fiction.

O presente trabalho propõe um estudo da novela Casa Velha, a partir da articulação possível entre História e Literatura. Para tal, discutiremos os elementos do processo de ficcionalização da realidade histórica, que se faz por intermédio de vozes representativas do Império oitocentista brasileiro. Objetivamos, assim, analisar a apropriação autoral dessas vozes, do jogo dialético entre elas no interior da obra frente à exterioridade histórica, numa encenação, entre o real e a ficção, da política da elite imperial de/na Casa Velha.
